Sheikh Momin: A mourning rally was held in memory of all the martyrs who were killed in the grenade attack on August 21, including Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and his family, who were killed by assassins on August 15, 1975, at Goalanda in Rajbari.

At 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, the mourning rally started from the Goalanda residence and ended in front of the upazila Awami League office. Hundreds of leaders and activists participated in the mourning rally under the leadership of ABM Baten, the former president of Goalanda Upazila Chhatra League.

At the end of the mourning rally, tributes were paid to the portrait of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at the Upazila Awami League office.

ABM Baten, the former president of Goalanda Upazila Chhatra League, said, “I am trying to become a soldier of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the best father of the Bengali nation for a thousand years.” I have been involved in Bangladesh Chhatra League politics since my childhood when I was in 8th standard. I have led the Goalanda Upazila Chhatra League for 7 years. I was the president of Upazila Chhatra League. In the future, I will be a candidate in the conference of Goalanda Upazila Jubo League. I am interested in working for this organization. I will work on behalf of Sheikh Hasina as the former president of Chhatra League. And we want new faces to emerge in the upcoming Golanda Upazila Jubo League conference. I am hopeful that the Upazila Jubo League will be established through the new leadership. And we all will work for the victory of the boat to whom the national treasure Sheikh Hasina will give a boat in the next national elections and we will win the boat inshallah.
