(SMP) Shahparan Police recovered the hanging body of a mother of three children in Sylhet. However, the relatives of the deceased claimed that her death was due to torture by her husband.

The incident took place on Monday (August 28) around 11:30 am at the Bandhan House in Miyabagh, Tooltikor area.

The dead woman is Rajmin Begum (40), daughter of deceased Ichhan Mia of Mirapara area. Currently she was living with her husband Nashir Uddin and children at Bandhan House in Miyabagh, Tultikor area. The initial idea of ​​the police is that the housewife committed suicide.

According to local and police sources, the children were watching television at home around 11:30 on Monday. Suddenly they see their mother (Rajmin) hanging from the window grill of the house with veil wrapped around her neck. Meanwhile, the neighbors came forward with their screams and opened the veil and brought down the hanging body of Rajmin. After getting the news, her husband Nashir Uddin, a vegetable trader, came home with his brother-in-law and took Rajmin to Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital. Doctors on duty at Osmani’s emergency department there declared him dead.

Meanwhile, the people of Rajmin’s father’s house claim that she died due to her husband’s torture. They claim that Nashir Uddin beat him sometime during the night. Later in the morning Nashir Uddin pretended to be sick and took him to the hospital. For the past few months, Nashir Uddin has been pressuring Rajmin to get married again. A dispute arose between them. The relatives of the deceased are claiming that Rajmin had been beaten before this. At this time, they demanded to find out the exact cause of death by post mortem.

Syed Anisur Rahman, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Shahparan (Reh.) Police Station confirmed the truth of this matter and said – Initially it was known that Rajmin committed suicide. The children screamed as they saw his body hanging from the window. Later neighbors came and took down the body. However, the truth of the incident can be confirmed when the autopsy report is in hand.
