A person named Bahar Uddin (40) died in Baniachang due to lightning. He is the son of Rahmat Ali of Daulatpur Union No. 5 of Upazila. Bahar Uddin was struck by lightning while fishing in Howrah on Saturday (August 27) morning.

Later he died. Upazila Project Implementation Officer Malay Kumar Das confirmed this information. He also said that the upazila administration has paid Tk 20,000 to the family of the deceased for religious work.
