Exchange of views of ‘Chokh Film Society’ with Shabi Press Club

The members of Chokh Film Society, the film organization of the university, exchanged views with the leaders of the new committee of Shabi Press Club, an organization of working journalists of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology.
The exchange of views was held on Sunday (August 28) at 1 pm at the press club office of the university.
President of Press Club Nazmul Huda presided and general secretary Abdullah Al Masud was present in the presence – President of Chokh Film Society Humayun Kabir Rifat, Vice President Md. Mahin Shahriar, general secretary. Imrul Hasan, Organizing Secretary Azizul Islam Aziz, Treasurer Sabrina Mamta, Research and Publication Editor Alok Debnath Sagar, Media and Communication Editor Md. Arzubin Nasir, Production Secretary Imtiaz Hossain, Workshop and Study Circle Secretary Prabal Barua, Executive Members Saurabh Kumar and Saqib Mia.
Humayun Kabir Rifat, President of Choch Film Society, said that Choch Film Society is always working to change the society and develop people’s mindset. That’s why the organization goes beyond traditional films and screens alternative films. Besides, a charity film fest was organized to support university students suffering from various complex diseases.
He also said that the manpower has decreased as organizational week is not organized in the university. Besides, due to economic crisis, organizational activities are facing problems. He said that this problem has become evident due to the effect of Corona.
Nazmul Huda, president of the press club, said that the journalists of the Shabi Press Club have been working on the cultural arena of the campus in addition to highlighting the various problems and possibilities of the university in the media. I hope this trend will continue in the future as in the past.
