Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said that the United States has banned law enforcement officers without specific information.

He spoke to reporters at the end of the ‘5th South Asia Conference’ organized by the Inner Wheel Club at Hotel Pan Pacific Sonargaon on Saturday (August 27).

The Interior Minister said that the former President of Chile, Michelle Bachelet, the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights came to Bangladesh. He had a long discussion with us. We have given some questions in advance. We showed him the video presentation of his questions including missing 76 people and explained to him the details of what happened. Seeing this, he did not ask us any questions.

Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said, he analyzed everything and gave his opinion. He showed wisdom. He said, Bangladesh is not violating human rights, but the prime minister is managing the country very carefully. That is what he (UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Michelle Bachelet) has repeatedly said.

According to the latest report of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, who recently visited Bangladesh, the United Nations has not expressed any concerns about Bangladesh on human rights or other issues. So whether the BNP has repeatedly complained that their claims have been proven false or not – the minister said in response to the question of journalists, “We have always been saying that they (BNP) are complaining in various ways to create a situation.” Which have no basis and could not prove the truth. The UN High Commissioner for Human Rights has not expressed any concern about human rights in our country due to lack of basis.

Then the minister said in response to the question of the journalists whether their claims which had been repeatedly complained by the BNP were proved false or not, we have been saying all the time that they (BNP) are complaining in various ways to create a situation.
