BNP standing committee member Khandkar Mosharraf Hossain commented that BNP will not go to the National Assembly elections under the current commission.
He made this comment while talking to reporters after paying respects at the tomb of BNP founder Ziaur Rahman along with the leaders and activists of the organization on the occasion of the 30th founding anniversary of the Freedom Fighters on Friday morning.
This member of the BNP Standing Committee said that the Election Commission is an agent of the government. As in 2014 and 2018, the Election Commission has decided to use EVMs in 150 seats to bring Awami League to power by manipulating it in a different way. The commission reflects the will of the government. People do not accept their decision. Why EVM, BNP will not go to National Assembly elections under the current commission.
Musharraf said that the state of the country has been created due to the mismanagement of the government, corruption and the interests of the clan system. People’s lives have become miserable because of the failure of the rulers.
Mentioning that democracy will be brought back by freeing Khaleda Zia, he said, the government should immediately dissolve parliament and resign. The next national elections should be held through a new commission.
