The names of the 10 winners of the ‘Final Match Goal Prediction Competition’—organized by ‘Prantik Konthoswor,’ the media platform of the Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Party, centering on the 2026 Football World Cup final—have been announced.
A total of 6,435 comments were submitted within the stipulated timeframe. From among the 96 participants who correctly predicted the final match’s outcome and goal count, 10 lucky winners were selected through a transparent, impartial digital lottery.
The names of the winners were announced at a ceremony held on Tuesday (July 21) at the auditorium of the Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Party headquarters. Brigadier General Mamunur Rashid, the force’s Additional Director General, attended the event as the chief guest.
Earlier, the competition was announced on the official Facebook page of ‘Prantik Kanthaswar’, inviting followers to predict the final match result and the number of goals scored via comments. Following the announcement, a large number of football enthusiasts from home and abroad participated in the event.
In accordance with the competition’s rules, ten winners were selected through a digital lottery from among the participants who made correct predictions.
Speaking as the chief guest at the event, Brigadier General Mamunur Rashid said, “This competition was organized to foster positive engagement among fans surrounding the Football World Cup and to encourage constructive participation on social media.
Such creative, participatory, and community-oriented initiatives will continue in the future through ‘Prantik Konthoswor’.” Ten attractive prizes have been arranged for the winners.
The first prize is a smartphone. Additionally, the prizes include a smart TV, an electric oven, an induction cooker, a smartwatch, a blender, a power bank, a Bluetooth microphone, a pair of AirPods, and a neckband. The winners were congratulated at the conclusion of the event. The organizers announced that the prizes would be officially handed over to the winners soon.
The organizers stated that ‘Prantik Konthoswar’ is not merely a platform for disseminating information; rather, it serves as an effective medium for public engagement, positive social interaction, and creative participation. Such unique and innovative initiatives involving followers will continue in the future, playing a vital role in further strengthening the bond between the general public and the Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Party.
Md. Ayub Ali, Director (Media Cell) and Captain (AGB), was present as a special guest. Other officers and personnel of the force, as well as members of the Media Cell, also attended the event. Their spontaneous participation ensured the program concluded in a festive atmosphere.
