Bangladesh will observe three days of national mourning for the death of British Queen Elizabeth II. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina announced the mourning. Three days of mourning will be observed on Friday, Saturday and Sunday for the death of Queen Elizabeth II, the longest-reigning queen of the British Empire.
At this time, the national flag will be at half-mast in all government, semi-government and autonomous institutions and educational institutions and all government and private buildings and Bangladesh missions abroad.
Earlier on Thursday (September 8) in the afternoon local time, Queen Elizabeth II died at the age of 96 at the Balmoral Palace in Scotland. Queen Elizabeth II has been on the British throne for 70 years. This year marks the 70th anniversary of his accession to the throne.
