Ahead of the upcoming Ramzan, the police of Habiganj Sadar police station are carrying out operations to evict various illegal structures in the city. About a hundred sidewalk shops have been evacuated in a two-day operation since last Monday.
It can be seen on the surface, beside the wall in front of the District Commissioner’s office, Shani Mandir, Circuit House Road, on both sides of the main gate of the hospital, from Circuit House Junction to Babystand Junction, there are hundreds of fruit and cloth shops on both sides of Old Hospital Road. Traffic congestion is caused due to shops on both sides of the road. In the last two days, a team of police including SI Saiful Islam of Sadar Police Station conducted an operation on the orders of OC Golam Mortuza of Sadar Model Police Station. The OC said that under no circumstances should illegal sidewalk shops be kept in front of important offices. The campaign will continue regularly.
