Training on Professionalism for Journalists in Gaibandha

A training workshop titled “The Importance of Implementing Laws and Regulations Regarding Rights and Professional Responsibilities to Ensure Professionalism Among Media Personnel” was held in Gaibandha for journalists from print and electronic media. The workshop took place on Wednesday (September 23) at the conference room of the Gaibandha Circuit House, organized by the Bangladesh Press Council.
Journalists working for various media outlets in the district participated in the event. Justice A.K.M. Abdul Hakim, Chairman of the Bangladesh Press Council, attended as the chief guest. Md. Jashim Uddin, Superintendent of Police (SP) of Gaibandha, was present as the special guest.
Md. Abdus Sabur, Secretary (Joint Secretary) of the Bangladesh Press Council, served as the resource person for the training workshop. Dr. Md. Moniruzzaman, Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate of Gaibandha, presided over the event.
Discussions at the workshop covered journalists’ professional rights and responsibilities, media-related laws and regulations, and various aspects of ensuring professionalism in the field of journalism. The workshop was organized by the Bangladesh Press Council with the cooperation of the Gaibandha District Administration.
