Chatra Dal felicitates GPA-5 achievers in Companiganj

A reception was held for 121 meritorious students from Companiganj Upazila, Noakhali, who achieved a GPA-5 in the 2026 SSC examinations. The event took place on Saturday (September 19) afternoon at the Nirjhar Convention Hall in Basurhat, organized by the Upazila, Municipality, and College units of Chatra Dal. Mohammad Fakhrul Islam, Member of Parliament for the Noakhali-5 constituency, attended the event as the chief guest.
During the ceremony, the 121 students from Companiganj Upazila who secured a GPA-5 in the 2026 SSC exams were welcomed with flowers. Subsequently, the guests handed over crests, certificates, educational materials, and cash awards to each student. The students were visibly delighted and enthusiastic upon receiving the honors.
Presided over by Hossain Mohammad Ershad, Convener of Companiganj Upazila Chatra Dal, the event featured Ayubur Rahman Taufiq, Assistant General Secretary (AGS) of the Chittagong University Central Students’ Union (CUCSU), as the keynote speaker. Noakhali District Chatra Dal President ABS Russell and General Secretary Ziaur Rahman Raihan spoke as special guests.
Other speakers included former Mayor of Basurhat Municipality Kamal Uddin Chowdhury, Companiganj Upazila Chatra Dal Member Secretary Nur Uddin Rubel, and Basurhat Municipality Chatra Dal Convener Delwar Hossain Saiful, among others.
