In Itna Upazila of the district, seeds and chemical fertilizers are distributed free of cost to the small farmers under the incentive program to increase the production of rabi season wheat, bharta, mustard, sunflower and almonds in the financial year 2022-23.

Itna Upazila Parishad Chairman Chowdhury Kamrul Hasan inaugurated the distribution of rabi season seeds and fertilizers among the farmers in the presence of Etna Upazila Parishad Chairman Chowdhury Kamrul Hasan as the chief guest under the chairmanship of Itna Upazila Executive Officer Nafisa Akhter at Itna Upazila Parishad premises on Tuesday (November 15th).

Various types of seeds and fertilizers will be given under incentives to about 8 thousand farmers in the upazila this year. Ujjal Saha, Agricultural Officer of Itna Upazila gave a welcome speech before the distribution. Itna Upazila Sub-Assistant Plant Conservation Officer Mahabub Iqbal, Itna Sadar Union Deputy Assistant Officer Rubel Hossain, Rahmat Ullah, Mosharf Hossain, Al Amin and other dignitaries of the local journalist area were present. Itna Upazila Agricultural Extension Officer Abhijit Sarkar conducted the program.
