Agrajatra stands by the people affected by the recent floods in Pekua Upazila of Cox’s Bazar. On Saturday (July 18), 10 types of daily necessities were distributed to 200 flood-affected families at the Pekua Upazila Parishad ground with the organization’s own funds. In this humanitarian program organized by Agrajatra, relief materials were handed over to the affected families under the leadership of the organization’s CEO Neelima Akhter Chowdhury and Director Mohammad Helal Uddin.

The relief distribution program was completed in an orderly environment in the presence of the beneficiaries at the Upazila Parishad ground since the morning. The organization’s CEO, Neelima Akhter Chowdhury, said, “Many families are in extreme distress due to the recent floods. It is our humanitarian duty to stand by them in this difficult time. Agrajatra has tried to stand by the affected people with its own funds. I urge the wealthy individuals of the society, donor agencies and humanitarian organizations to come forward to help the flood-affected people from their respective positions.

It is possible to alleviate the suffering of the affected people to a great extent with joint efforts.” The organization’s director, Mohammad Helal Uddin, said, “Our main goal is to stand by the helpless people during disasters. This relief program has been conducted with the organization’s own funds. Agrajatra will continue its humanitarian activities in the future and will stand by the people affected by any disaster.” A beneficiary from Pekua Upazila who received relief said, “Our family is going through a lot of hardship due to the floods. This assistance has been very beneficial for us.

May Allah reward those who have extended their helping hands out of concern for us.” Members of the organization, volunteers, local dignitaries and people from different walks of life were present at the relief distribution program. The organizers said that Agrajatra’s assistance activities will continue in the future to support people affected by humanitarian crises and natural disasters.
