Amtali Upazila BNP is spreading propaganda in various ways through social media using fake IDs in the name of former BNP president Md. Jalal Uddin Fakir. A press conference was held at the BNP party office on Upazila Parishad Road on Thursday afternoon against that propaganda.
In a written statement at the press conference, Jalal Uddin Fakir said, I have kept the BNP party well organized by accepting the torture, attacks and cases of the fascist Awami League for the last 17 years.
But a section of the party is conspiring against me in various ways. Those conspirators are spreading propaganda against me through social media by opening fake IDs. During the 12th National Parliament elections, I called a meeting with the presidents and secretaries of all the union committees of the Upazila BNP to thwart the elections. But some leaders of my party edited the recording of the conversation of that meeting and made it viral on social media to harass me socially and party-wise. The same group edited the video of an arbitration meeting three months ago and released it on social media. They are harassing me socially and politically by releasing videos using various fake IDs and distorting my statements in various online newspapers. I will take immediate legal action against those involved in such acts.
Also present at the press conference were former senior joint convener of Upazila BNP Md. Zahirul Islam VP Mamun, Kamruzzaman Hiru, Upazila Jubo Dal President Kabir Uddin Fakir, Tofazzel Hossain, Matiur Rahman Manik, Mainuddin Mamun and Md. Faruk Mridha.
