MP for Chittagong-10 constituency, Sayed Al Noman, has said that the role of journalists was very important in the 13th National Parliament election.

He said that the contribution of journalists is always important in presenting the democratic process correctly to the people.

He made these remarks as the chief guest at an Iftar and Doa Mahfil for Hafez and orphans organized by the Chittagong Reporters Association (CRA), an organization of professional journalists, on Sunday (March 8) afternoon.

The event, chaired by the organization’s president Sohag Arefin and moderated by Aminul Haque Shaheen, was also attended by BNP leader S Khoda Toton, Chittagong Metropolitan BNP member Mosharraf Hossain Deputy, Chittagong Prison Inspector Akhi Sultana, former councilor Mahfuzul Alam, prominent writer and columnist Press Club member journalist Kamal Parvez,
journalist and national civil rights and election analyst SM Abul Barkat Akash, journalist Kamruzzaman Rony, organization’s senior vice president Azizul Haque Aziz, general secretary Nurul Amin Khokon, Raju Ahmed, Abdul Quader Raju, Md. Rubel, Saifuddin Ramiz, Ashraf, Shakil Riduanhridoy, Mostafizur Rahman, Riaz Uddin, Md. Babar, Safayed, Monirul Islam, Giasuddin Panna, Morshed and other leaders of the organization.

At the event, iftar was held with Hafez and orphaned children, and special prayers and supplications were offered, seeking peace and prosperity for the country, nation, and Muslim Ummah.
