On the occasion of the upcoming 13th National Parliament Election and Referendum 2026, Cox’s Bazar District Deputy Commissioner Md. A. Mannan has called on everyone to play a responsible role to keep the electoral environment fair, beautiful and peaceful.

He made this call in his speech as the chairman at a view-exchange meeting organized with the Election Vigilance and Observation Team at the conference room of the Cox’s Bazar Deputy Commissioner’s Office on February 08, 2026.

He said that coordinated efforts by all parties, including the administration, law enforcement agencies, and the election-related vigilance and observation team, are very important for organizing a free, impartial and acceptable election.

Everyone must be vigilant to prevent any irregularities by strictly adhering to the election code of conduct.

He further said that information-based monitoring and quick response will be ensured to prevent rumors, violence and attempts to create chaos during the elections.

The administration will follow a zero tolerance policy to protect the security of the people and voting rights.

Representatives of various law enforcement agencies were present at the meeting and expressed their views on election security, surveillance activities and preparations to face possible challenges.

The meeting emphasized strengthening coordination at the field level and regular exchange of information regarding the upcoming elections.

At the end of the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner expressed his determination to provide an acceptable election by performing his duties with dedication and professionalism from his respective positions.
