As part of this, election preparatory rallies are being held in every district of the country with the participation of Ansar and VDP members on duty at all polling stations.
The force’s Director General, Major General Abdul Motaleb Sajjad Mahmud, was present as the chief guest at the election preparatory rally of Chittagong district held at the Chittagong District Stadium today.
In addition to the direct presence of 25,545 members in Chittagong, 7,714 members with election responsibilities from Cox’s Bazar district joined the rally through a giant screen.

In his speech, special importance was given to the successful addition of modern digital management and supervision systems for the first time by Ansar and VDP to ensure transparency and dynamism in electoral activities.
The Director General gave a very significant speech to the members present at the rally. Reminding the members on duty, he said, “Each member is a representative of the common voter and a vigilant guard of the national flag. To ensure impartiality, no member has been given responsibility in his own union.”
He firmly stated that “the members of the force are not from any particular party; they are craftsmen of protecting the deposit of morality.” He warned everyone not to create any suffering for the nation by mixing truth and lies.
He further said that this is the first time that every moment will be closely monitored through CCTV cameras at polling stations and digital surveillance channels extending to the ministry.
As a result, the force will be more vigilant and capable than ever before to prevent any malpractice. He also clearly warned that the concerned member will have to face strict legal consequences if he is involved in any activity against the national interest and discipline.
The Director General unequivocally stated, “The deployment of all members, including the electoral striking force, has started from today, February 8 (Sunday). The 13 members deployed at each polling station have been instructed to perform their duties without any hesitation or influence.
” He emphasized on informing the nearest striking team as soon as possible through the use of the ‘Election Protection App’ in emergency situations and also instructed to contact 999 if necessary.
He also gave clear instructions that in order to maintain electoral discipline and security, members should strictly refrain from sharing any pictures or videos of weapons, equipment or duty-related images or videos on social media like Facebook, YouTube or TikTok.
The Director General assured the duty-bound members that to ensure the welfare of the members, food money and allowances are being paid digitally directly to their own accounts through the STDMS software, which will ensure financial transparency on the one hand, and will effectively stop the malfeasance of middlemen on the other.
Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defense Force believes that the people’s trust in the democratic system and the verdict on the future management of the country depend on the professionalism, honesty and responsibility of each member.
This preparation of the force, combined with the effective application of digital technology, strict discipline and strong conviction of patriotism, will not only play an important role in organizing a fair election, but will also strengthen national security and strengthen the institutional foundation of democracy.
The Director General expressed his strong belief that this modernization and professionalism of Ansar and VDP, focusing on the 13th National Parliament Election and Referendum-2026, will set a positive and followable example in future election management.
