Brave freedom fighter and former chairman Abdur Rahim is no more

Best son of the nation, Brave freedom fighter of the Freedom Fighters’ Union, former deputy unit commander of Netrokona district unit, former chairman of Netrokona Sadar No. 4 Bangla Union, fearless fighter of the terrible Nazirpur war of 26 July/71, Liberation War Affairs Secretary of Netrokona district committee of Bangladesh Awami League, brave freedom fighter Abdur Rahim passed away on Thursday, February 5 at 5 am while undergoing treatment at Dhaka Mirpur Hospital. “Inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi rajiun” (Inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi rajiun) was held at Netrokona Chandranath High School ground after Asr on Thursday with state honours. Thousands of locals, including the district unit convener, former MP and former chairman of the district council, freedom fighter Ashraf Uddin Khan, member secretary Abdul Mannan Talukder, former senior deputy unit commander of the district unit command, Ekhlas Ahmed Qureshi, former Sadar Upazila commander and fellow fighter of 26th July, Ayub Ali, Deputy Commander Sajjadur Rahman, and more than two hundred freedom fighters, including leaders of political, social and cultural organizations, were present.
