The two-day annual sports competition and cultural program of Abul Pradhan Pre-Cadet and High School in Sreepur, Gazipur, was held in a festive atmosphere. The program was presided over by Abul Hossain Pradhan, President of the Sreepur Upazila Kindergarten Association and a member of the convening committee of Sreepur Municipal BNP. The event was conducted by Shamim Ahmed, Director of Abul Pradhan Pre-Cadet and High School.
The inaugural speech was delivered by Anwar Hossain, Executive Director of HEED Bangladesh and Chairman of ADAB, as the chief guest. The national flag was hoisted by Abul Kalam Azad Pradhan, Member Secretary of the Gazipur District Jatiyatabadi Sramik Dal, while the sports flag was hoisted by Abu Taher Pradhan, Member Secretary of the Sreepur Municipal Jubo Dal. The prize distribution ceremony for the winners of the sports competition will be held tomorrow, Friday. Professor Dr. S. M. Rafikul Islam Bachchu, Joint Secretary for Health Affairs of the BNP Central Executive Committee and BNP-nominated candidate for the Gazipur-3 constituency, will be present as the chief guest.
The school authorities stated that sports play an important role in the physical and mental development of students. Considering this, sports and cultural programs are organized regularly every year. The event also featured delightful cultural performances by the students, which captivated the guests and guardians present.
