The police administration has launched a tough anti-terrorism operation in Ramu, an important upazila of Cox’s Bazar-3 constituency, to ensure a fair, impartial and festive atmosphere ahead of the upcoming 12th National Parliament elections.

Locals claim that the coordinated operation led by Ramu Police Station, Garjnia Police Outpost and Eidgarh Police Camp led by Ramu Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Monirul Islam Bhuiyan is forcing terrorists to flee the area. The 12th National Parliament elections will be held on February 12.

Although political heat has spread across the country since the first day of the election campaign, a different picture is visible among voters in Ramu Upazila.

The general public is increasingly interested in participating in the voting festival, ignoring fear.
Exceptional exercise with a fleet of more than a hundred motorcycles Ahead of the much-awaited elections, the police administration of Ramu Police Station conducted an exceptional exercise with a large fleet of more than a hundred motorcycles. Through this exercise, the identified terrorists are shown a ‘red card’.

The exercise is conducted on important roads, unions and remote areas of Ramu Upazila, which conveys the message of security among the locals.

At that time, OC Monirul Islam Bhuiyan clearly addressed the crowd, “There will be no place for terrorists in Ramu Upazila.”
