Opinion exchange meeting on the occasion of the 13th National Parliament Election and Referendum

An opinion exchange meeting was held with professionals and the general public on the occasion of the upcoming 13th National Parliament Election and Referendum in Kaliganj, Gazipur.
On Thursday (January 15) afternoon, the Upazila Administration organized an opinion exchange meeting at Baligaon High School grounds under the chairmanship of Upazila Executive Officer ATM Kamrul Islam and the moderatorship of Assistant Commissioner (Land) Zakia Sarwar Lima. Gazipur Deputy Commissioner and Returning Officer Mohammad Alam Hossain was present as the chief guest. Gazipur Superintendent of Police Md. Sharif Uddin was present as the special guest.

Also present at the meeting were Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) nominated candidate for Gazipur-5 constituency AKM Fazlul Haque Milon, Islamic Front Bangladesh nominated candidate Md. Al Amin Dewan, Janata Dal nominated candidate Azam Khan and Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami nominated candidate Khairul Hasan, government officials from various departments of the upazila, freedom fighters, political leaders, public representatives, teachers, media workers, village police and the general public.
Special guest at the meeting, Superintendent of Police Md. Sharif Uddin said, there is no reason to worry about security in the upcoming elections and referendum. The police administration will perform its duties properly.

Everyone, including public representatives and media workers, will cooperate with the police force in maintaining security. Chief guest, Deputy Commissioner and Returning Officer Mohammad Alam Hossain said, the administration is working to conduct the upcoming 13th National Parliament elections and referendum in a fair and impartial manner.

Candidates should try to win the hearts of the people by not throwing tears among themselves and win their votes. Our goal is to give the gift of a beautiful election. I seek everyone’s cooperation to create public awareness about the referendum.

At the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner and the Superintendent of Police answered various questions from the general public, including candidates, media workers, civil society leaders, and professionals, regarding the elections and referendum. Later, three documentary films were screened to create awareness about the elections and referendum.
