The Bangladesh Army has stood by the helpless,poor and distressed people living in Bandarban.On Monday (January 12), humanitarian aid was provided at the Army Region premises under the humanitarian assistance program organized by the Bandarban Army Region. During this time,winter blanket,sewing machines for women’s self-employment and teutin for building houses among homeless families were distributed.

In addition,carpets for madrasas and orphanages and food grains were distributed to helpless families. Major Parvez Rahman, GSO-2 (Int) of Bandarban Army Region was present and handed over these items to the needy and helpless people coming from different neighborhoods of the district headquarters.

Bandarban Army Region will continue to conduct such service activities to serve the people of Bandarban said Major Parvez Rahman,GSO-2 (Int) of Bandarban Army Region.GSO-3 (Int) Captain Samiul Islam, along with journalists from print and electronic media and senior members of the army at various levels were present at the event.
