Distribution of winter clothes among the deprived people in Gopalganj

Gopalganj Deputy Commissioner and learned District Magistrate (Deputy Secretary) Md. Arif-Uz Zaman distributed winter clothes (blankets) among the deprived people in the dark of night.
On Friday (December 26) night, Deputy Commissioner Md. Arif-Uz Zaman distributed winter clothes (blankets) among the cold-stricken people in several areas of the city including Police Lines intersection, railway station, launch ghat, bus terminal area.
Like the rest of the country, people in Gopalganj are also suffering in a state of hardship due to the severe cold.
As a servant of the administration, he thought about the disadvantaged, helpless and deprived people of the society and wrapped blankets with his own hands in the unbearable (about 9 degrees +) winter intensity, taking winter clothes and wrapping them on the floating and deprived people of the district city in the middle of the night.
He said, those who do not have any clothes to protect themselves from the cold understand the hardships of winter best.
It is a joy for us to be able to put a blanket on a cold-stricken person. We are trying to deliver the cold clothes (blankets) from the government to the helpless, poor, and uprooted people of the entire district.
This is our moral responsibility and duty. He called on the government as well as all the wealthy people of the society to come forward from their respective positions to support the cold-stricken people.
At that time, Gopalganj Additional Deputy Commissioner (Education and ICT) Shobhan Sarkar, Gopalganj Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Kaushik Ahmed, NDC Aniruddha Deb Roy, Assistant Commissioner and Executive Magistrate Mohammad Ataur Rahman and other officials and employees of the district administration were present.
