Allegations of eviction and attack-looting from a homestead in Chapainawabganj
A press conference has been held demanding justice for the culprits in the eviction and attack on a family from their homestead in Ramkrishtapur area.
The victim family organized this press conference at an office at Baten Khan Moros in the district town on Saturday (December 27) afternoon. A written statement was read out by the small businessman Md. Akhtarul, the owner of the land in terms of purchase.
At the press conference, he said that in August this year, he purchased a land with a homestead of 2 katha 18 points in Ramkrishtapur area of Chapainawabganj district town.
The landowners had actually sold the lands obtained through ancestral sources to me. Following the proper rules and regulations, I purchased the lands of RS Dag 933 and Dag 935 of Charjot Pratap Mouza.
After purchasing, I started living there with my family. But a sinister group started a conspiracy to illegally and unjustly seize my land and shop.
In continuation of this, on December 19, the bandits and goons came to seize the house and shop.
At that time, my wife was attacked and seriously injured. Later, she was rescued and treated in the hospital.
He also said that the terrorist group beat up my wife, Mrs. Fahmida Sultana, and also molested her.
They even looted a total of six tons of gold ornaments and 8 lakh 64 thousand 500 taka in cash in the top drawer of the wardrobe. Even after filing a case in court about this incident, the terrorists are still threatening and intimidating me. I want justice.
Aktarul said that the real owner of the land was the mother of the deceased Mehedi Hasan and the two children of his first wife, but his second wife, Fatema Khatun, claimed that the entire land was hers and committed the looting and beating. Aktarul’s wife, the injured Fahmida Khatun, and other family members were present at the press conference.
Chapainawabganj Sadar Model Police Station OC Noor Alam said that if a case is filed in the court, it will come to us for investigation. Necessary legal action will be taken in this regard subject to investigation.
