Dr. Jahangir Alam collects Jamaat nomination forms for Gazipur-3 constituency
Dr. Jahangir Alam has collected the nomination forms of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami for the upcoming 13th National Parliament election for Gazipur-3 (Sreepur) constituency.
On Wednesday (December 24) afternoon, he reached the office of the Sreepur Upazila Assistant Returning Officer within the stipulated time and collected the nomination forms.
At that time, he was accompanied by Constituency Director and District Nayeb Amir Mohammad Abdul Hakim, Gazipur District Jamaat-e-Islami Assistant Secretary Mostafizur Rahman, Sreepur Upazila Amir Maulana Nurul Islam, Assistant Secretary Abul Kalam Azad and party leaders and supporters.
After collecting the nominations, Dr. Jahangir Alam said, I am participating in the election with the aim of establishing people’s rights, justice and good governance. I will try my best to fulfill the expectations of the people of Gazipur-3 constituency.
He also said that he is hopeful that if the elections are held in a fair and impartial manner, the people will elect a qualified candidate.
It is worth noting that Gazipur-3 constituency consists of Sreepur Upazila and Mirzapur, Bhawal Garh and Pirujali unions of Gazipur Sadar Upazila. This constituency is considered a politically important constituency.
According to the latest information from the Election Commission, the total number of voters in Gazipur-3 constituency is 5 lakh 23 thousand 90.
Of these, 2 lakh 63 thousand 57 are male voters, 2 lakh 60 thousand 28 are female voters and 5 are third gender voters. This constituency, consisting of one municipality, two upazilas and 11 unions, is considered politically very important.
