A MoU has been signed between Bangladesh Bank and the Department of Fire Service and Civil Defense.

The MoU was signed at the Bangladesh Bank Head Office on Tuesday, December 23 at 12:00 PM.

Under this agreement, a satellite fire station will be set up inside the Bangladesh Bank Head Office with manpower and fire trucks to provide quick response to fire incidents in and around Bangladesh Bank, a very important KPI institution of the country.

13 members of various ranks of the Fire Service and Civil Defense will be stationed here along with fire trucks and equipment.

The MoU was signed by Deputy Director of Dhaka Division, Mr. Md. Saleh Uddin, BFM, BFM (S) on behalf of the Fire Service and Mr. Md. Riyad Farjand, Joint Director, HRD-1 on behalf of Bangladesh Bank.

The MoU signing ceremony was attended by Executive Director of Bangladesh Bank, Mr. Md. Niamul Kabir, Director of Security Management Department, Brigadier General (Retd) Md. Faruk Howlader, AFWC, PSC; Director (HRD-1) Mr. Md. Jabdul Islam, along with various senior officials of the bank and Director (Operation and Maintenance) of Fire Service and Civil Defense Department, Lt. Col. Mohammad Tajul Islam Chowdhury, SGP, PSC; Deputy Director (Operation and Maintenance) Mr. Md. Mamunur Rashid, PFM; Assistant Director Kazi Nazmuzzaman, PFM and other officials.
