In the upcoming 11th National Parliament election, BNP nominated candidate for Gazipur-5 constituency, former BNP organizing secretary and Gazipur district BNP convener Alhaj AKM Fazlul Haque Milon, Islamic Front Bangladesh nominated by the Greater Sunni Alliance, Islamic Front Bangladesh Central Co-Youth and Sports Affairs Secretary and Gazipur District General Secretary Maulana Md. Al-Amin Dewan, and Gono Forum nominated Gono Forum Central Leader Md. Sohel Mia collected nomination papers.

On Sunday (December 21), at noon, from the office of Assistant Returning Officer and Upazila Executive Officer ATM Md. Kamrul Islam of 198 Gazipur-5 constituency, Kaliganj Upazila BNP convener Md. Humayun Kabir Master, Member Secretary Khalequzzaman Bablu, Member Ashrafi Habibullah, Md. Soleman Alam, Former Mayor of Kaliganj Municipality Md. Lutfar Rahman collected the nomination papers.

Maulana Md. Al-Amin Dewan, nominated by the Islamic Front Bangladesh of the Greater Sunni Alliance, accepted the nomination papers along with Islamic Front Bangladesh Central Member Md. Ali Hossain Bhuiyan, Upazila Vice President Dr. Md. Ajmal Hossain Milon, Joint General Secretary Md. Yusuf Ali and Maulana Md. Awlad Hossain.

In addition, Md. Mejbah Uddin collected the nomination papers on behalf of Gono Forum nominated candidate Md. Sohel Mia.

Gazipur District BNP Convening Committee Member Md. Khairul Ahsan Mintu said that nomination papers have been collected for former MP AKM Fazlul Haque Milon, the BNP candidate for the Gazipur-5 constituency, to participate in the upcoming 11th National Parliament election.
