10 leaders of the Awami League of 17th Jalirpar Union of Muksudpur Upazila of Gopalganj have resigned simultaneously through a press conference.
They all announced their voluntary resignations at a press conference organized at the premises of South Jalirpar Government Primary School at 5 pm on Saturday (December 20).
Sagar Bagchi, the recently former Sports Affairs Secretary of Jalirpar Union Awami League, read out a written statement signed by the 10 Awami League leaders at the press conference.
The leaders who announced their resignations are Ruhul Amin Sheikh, former senior vice-president of Ward No. 7 Awami League of Jalirpar Union, Abhi Bagchi, former vice-president of Ward No. 8 Awami League, Bidyut Bagchi, former general secretary Naresh Goldar, former cultural affairs secretary Shyamal Bagchi, former members Shishir Bagchi, Harichad Bakchi, Narayan Goldar, and Ranjan Gain.
In a written statement at the press conference, Sagar Bagchi, the recently former sports affairs secretary of Jalirpar Union Awami League, said, “From Saturday, December 20, we all announced our voluntary resignation from all positions and activities of the Awami League without any provocation from others.” Which will be effective from now on.
