BNP holds protest march in Gopalganj over shooting incident of Osman Hadi
Gopalganj district BNP and its affiliated organizations have held a protest march in protest against the shooting incident on MP candidate Osman Hadi in Dhaka-8 constituency.
A protest march started from the district BNP office located in Boro Bazar of Gopalganj city on Saturday (December 13) afternoon.
The procession ended in front of Jamuna Bank after circumambulating the main roads of the city.
Gopalganj district BNP convener Freedom fighter Sharif Rafiquzzaman, member Advocate M Taufiqul Islam, member and BNP-nominated MP candidate for Gopalganj-2 constituency Dr. KM Babar, Gopalganj Sadar Upazila BNP President Sikder Shahidul Islam Lelin, General Secretary Fazlul Kabir Dara, Riaz Uddin Lipton, Sajjad Hossain Hira, Saiful Islam, Azizur Rahman Bena, Rasheduzzaman Palash, Sheikh Hasibur Rahman, BNP Mohila Dal leaders and a large number of leaders and activists of BNP and its affiliate organizations were present.
At a short rally after the procession, speakers said that a big conspiracy is going on to thwart the upcoming 13th National Parliament elections. Osman Hadi was shot as part of that conspiracy.
They called the incident politically motivated and demanded immediate arrest and exemplary punishment of those involved in the incident.
The speakers also said that such attacks are a threat to democracy and a peaceful political environment.
They urged the administration to immediately bring the real culprits to justice through a fair investigation.
