On December 5 (Friday) from 10 am to 4 pm, the Dhaka Press Club’s biennial election 2026-2027 was held at Bangladesh Shishu Kalyan Parishad – 22 Topkhana Road, Dhaka. Voting was held in a festive atmosphere throughout the day. The election was conducted by the Chief Election Commissioner of the Managing Committee, Editor and Publisher of the Dainik Nowroj Shamsul Haque Durrani, Election Commissioner Advocate Shafiqul Islam Kajal, Election Commissioner Advocate Iltutmish Sawdagar Annie. A total of 22 candidates contested the biennial election of the Dhaka Press Club.
