Jamaat MP candidate Afzal holds mass procession and rally in Kushtia-4 constituency

Afzal Hossain, Jamaat nominated MP candidate for Kushtia-4 (Khoksa-Kumarkhali) constituency, held a huge mass procession and rally in Kumarkhali ahead of the upcoming 13th national parliamentary elections.

On Saturday (November 29th) morning, the mass procession started from the upazila’s Torun More, passed through Khokon More, Hall Bazar, Gano More and the bus stand, and ended at the Kumarkhali Municipal Terminal.

After the mass procession, a short rally was held with thousands of leaders and activists.

Afzal Hossain, Jamaat nominated MP candidate for Kushtia-4 constituency, addressed the mass procession and rally as the chief guest, organized by the Kumarkhali upazila Jamaat.

The rally, chaired by Kumarkhali Upazila Jamaat Ameer Aftab Uddin and moderated by Upazila Jamaat Secretary Mamunur Rashid, was also addressed by Kushtia District Jamaat Assistant Secretary Sohrab Uddin, District Working Committee Member Kamruzzaman Mia, Khoksha Upazila Jamaat Ameer Nazrul Islam, Kumarkhali Municipality Ameer Ad: Rabiul Islam, etc.

The chief guest’s speech was that the Kumarkhali weaving products of Kushtia were quite popular in the European market including Bangladesh, but that industry is on the verge of collapse today. If Jamaat comes to power in the coming days, the weaving industry of Kumarkhali will be transformed into a modern weaving industry.

Thousands of acres of land in Kumarkhali and Khoksha are stuck in waterlogging. All these waterlogging will be removed and converted into three-crop land.

He also strongly demanded that the toll collection for the Syed Maas-ud Rumi Bridge, which was being collected several times more than the construction cost, be stopped.

He sought votes in favor of Jamaat-e-Islami to build a Bangladesh free of extortionists, tenderers, and drugs in the future.

Leaders and activists of Jamaat and Chhatra Shibir from 11 unions of the upazila and Kumarkhali Municipality were present at the rally.
