Preparation meeting to celebrate National Day in Kaliganj

A preparatory discussion meeting was held on the occasion of the celebration of Martyred Intellectuals and Great Victory Day at the initiative of the Kaliganj Upazila administration of Gazipur.
The meeting was held on Thursday (November 27) morning at the Upazila Parishad conference room under the chairmanship of Upazila Executive Officer ATM Kamrul Islam.
The meeting will include laying wreaths at the National Jute Mill Slaughterhouse in Khalapara of the upazila on December 1 at 10 am, discussion with freedom fighters and local dignitaries at the Upazila Parishad conference room on Martyred Intellectuals Day on December 14 at 10 am, and lighting of government buildings, 31 cannon shots, laying wreaths at the Upazila Central Shaheed Minar, and a parade of children and teenagers at the Kaliganj RRN Pilot Government High School grounds at 9 am and honoring of freedom fighters and family members at the Upazila Auditorium.
The meeting, moderated by Assistant Commissioner (Land) Zakia Sarwar Lima, among others, included Kaliganj Police Station Officer-in-Charge Md. Alauddin, Upazila Agriculture Officer Farzana Taslim, Secondary Education Officer Nur-e-Jannat, Sub-Registrar Hafizur Rahman, Tumliya Union Parishad Chairman Md. Abu Bakar Mia, Baktarpur Union Parishad Chairman Md. Atiqur Rahman Akand Faruk, Jamalpur Union Parishad Chairman Md. Khairul Alam, Rural Electricity DGM Akhtar Hossain, Jute Development Officer Abdul Monnaf, Medical Officer Dr. Md. Imran Khan, Assistant Professor of Government Kaliganj Sramik College Md. Mahmudul Hasan, along with various political leaders, freedom fighters, teachers and local journalists working in various electronic and print media were present.
