BGB operation at Naikhongchari border seizes Burmese cows and goods

The Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has seized two Burmese cows and various types of goods in an anti-smuggling operation at the Naikhongchari border. This information was given in a press release sent by 11 BGB on Thursday (November 20, 2025). The release said that the Naikhongchari Battalion (11 BGB) under the Ramu sector of Cox’s Bazar region has been playing an effective role in border security as well as combating smuggling and inter-state crimes for a long time. As part of this, patrol teams from Fultali, Lembuchhari, Bhalukhai, Jaruliachhari BOP and battalion headquarters conducted separate operations in the last 24 hours. During the operation, the smugglers fled after sensing the presence of the BGB.
During this time, two Burmese cows abandoned at different places in the border area and several sacks filled with Bangladeshi goods were seized. The total value of the seized cows and goods is 19 lakh 14 thousand 270 taka, the notification mentioned.
