New Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate of Bhola Dr. Shamim Rahman held a meeting with journalists. The meeting was held in the conference room of the DC office on Wednesday. Additional Deputy Commissioner Mizanur Rahman, senior officials of the district administration and more than a hundred journalists from print, electronic and online media of the district were present. The journalists discussed the problems, possibilities and remedies of the district with the Deputy Commissioner in detail. The meeting was addressed by Daily Ajker Bhola Editor and Senior Journalist Alhaj Md. Shawkat Hossain, MA Bari, Nazrul Haque Anu, Mokammel Haque Milon, Umar Faruk, Daily Bhola Bani Editor Md. Maksudur Rahman, Al-Amin Shahriar, Shahadat Shahin, Sagar Chowdhury, Abdus Shahid Talukder, Shimul Chowdhury and others. The Deputy Commissioner held his first meeting with journalists on Wednesday after assuming charge in Bhola on Tuesday (November 18). In the meeting, he said, “Bhola is not just an administrative area for me, it is a place of people’s trust and expectations. I want to build a transparent, efficient and compassionate administration here, which can bring positive changes in the lives of every citizen.” He wants to give special importance to developing professionalism in the district administration, establishing good governance and increasing administrative accountability. The Deputy Commissioner said, the ongoing development projects of Bhola will be taken forward more dynamically. My goal is to create new possibilities in the fields of infrastructure development, education, healthcare and law and order. Only then will we be able to make Bhola a more enlightened and prosperous district. He sought the sincere cooperation of the people of Bhola from all walks of life. At the end of the meeting, he called for overall support and coordination in Bhola district in terms of maintaining law and order and public welfare initiatives, and said in his speech, “If we are together, we can face any challenge, and that cooperation will be helpful in building the future development of our district.
