The Bangladesh Coast Guard has arrested a drug smuggler with a large quantity of Yaba in Teknaf, Cox’s Bazar. The operation was conducted in the Kanjarpara area of ​​Hoi Kyung Union under Teknaf Police Station on Wednesday (November 19, 2025) morning. Coast Guard Media Officer Lieutenant Commander Siam-ul-Haq said that based on a secret information, a special team of Coast Guard Station Teknaf conducted an operation in the area at around 10 am. During this, a suspected Noah Voxy microbus was searched and 42,000 pieces of Yaba worth about 2 crore 10 lakh taka were recovered from under the bonnet of the vehicle. A drug smuggler was arrested in the operation. He also said that the process of taking legal action against the seized Yaba, the vehicle and the arrested person is underway. The Coast Guard official said that such anti-drug operations will continue in the future.
