A X-Noha microbus with about 30 thousand Yaba has been seized in a special operation by the Cox’s Bazar District Detective Branch (DB) Police. A drug dealer was arrested during this operation. The operation was conducted on the Cox’s Bazar-Chittagong Highway in front of the Medhakachapiya National Park in Ward No. 4 of Khutakhali Union of Chakaria Upazila at around 1:30 am on (November 16). A team of the District Detective Branch set up a check post there based on secret information.
During this, after stopping a Noah vehicle, 29 thousand 910 pieces of Yaba were recovered during a search.
At the same time, the vehicle was seized and a person was arrested.
The arrested person’s name is Nurul Haque (33). He is a resident of Ward No. 2 of Rajapalong Union of Ukhia Upazila of Cox’s Bazar.
Alok Biswas, Additional Superintendent of Police (DSB) and media focal point of Cox’s Bazar District Police, said that after the initial interrogation, necessary legal action is in the process of being taken against the arrested accused.
