On Friday morning, a press conference was organized at Barisal District (North) BNP senior member and former president of Upazila BNP, veteran BNP leader Alhaj Abul Hossain Mia. Addressing a press conference with journalists working in various newspapers and television, Abul Hossain Mia said in a written statement, “I have been involved in BNP politics for the last four decades.

I will stay with BNP as long as I live.” M. Zahir Uddin Swapan, advisor to the BNP chairperson, has been given the party nomination for the Barisal-1 constituency. Therefore, I call on my leaders, activists, supporters and the public at all levels to work for the sake of the rice. I pledge to play an active role in strengthening the party under the leadership of M. Zahir Uddin Swapan in the next election and implementing the hopes and aspirations of the people.
