The two-lane Tongi-Kaliganj-Ghorashal road is a major traffic jam every day due to the movement of various vehicles. And there are frequent vehicle breakdowns and accidents on the road.

This is causing extreme suffering to ordinary passengers, so I demand the interim government to upgrade this road to four lanes.

If the interim government does not widen the road, the road will be upgraded to four lanes if the Jamaat-e-Islami government comes to power.

On Thursday morning, Jamaat-e-Islami Central Majlis-e-Shura member and Gazipur Metropolitan Jamaat-e-Islami Naib-e-Ameer Md. Khairul Hasan, Jamaat-e-Islami’s nominated parliamentary candidate for Gazipur-5 constituency, said all these things at a human chain organized by the Upazila Jamaat-e-Islami.

In order to alleviate public suffering and open up new horizons in transportation, the Kaliganj Upazila Jamaat-e-Islami held a human chain demanding the upgrading of the Ghorashal road from Tongi Station to Pubail-Kaliganj via four lanes.

Party leaders and activists stood on the side of the road for two hours with various placards and banners in the human chain program on the road adjacent to the Government Kaliganj Sramik College.
