The Sreemangal Upazila branch of the Gono Odhikar Parishad held a meeting with journalists in Sreemangal, Moulvibazar.
The view exchange meeting was held in the hall room of the city’s Riziq restaurant on Sunday night. Harunur Rashid, president of the Sreemangal Upazila branch of the Gono Odhikar Parishad and potential MP candidate for Moulvibazar-4 (Sreemangal-Kamalganj) constituency, was present as the chief guest at the meeting.
Harunur Rashid said that the Gono Odhikar Parishad is determined to restore the people’s right to vote. The trust and love of the people of Sreemangal are my strength. We will work to realize the hopes of the people. He said that he wants to contest from Moulvibazar-4 constituency. If he wins the election, he will work for the development of this area, especially tea workers and the tea industry. He will also work to permanently eliminate drugs from the society. Present at the time were Apu Raihan, President of the Moulvibazar District Branch of the Gono Odhikar Parishad, Khalid Bin Walid, General Secretary of the Sreemangal Upazila Branch of the Gono Odhikar Parishad, Abdus Sattar, Finance Secretary of the Moulvibazar District of the Jubo Odhikar Parishad, and Md. Arif Hossain, President of the Sreemangal Upazila Branch of the Jubo Odhikar Parishad. The speakers at the meeting said that the Gono Odhikar Parishad is working to establish the rights of the people and build a corruption-free society. Local journalists and leaders and activists of various units of the Gono Odhikar Parishad were present at the meeting.
