Rajshahi Metropolitan Police (RMP) Commissioner Mohammad Abu Sufian held an open discussion with the 1191st batch of trainees at the Imam Training Academy in Rajshahi on Wednesday (November 5).

In the discussion, he highlighted awareness against Islamic terrorism, the principles of human life in Islam, stance against justice and injustice, correction of misconceptions and the contribution of Islamic scholars worldwide.

In addition, the Police Commissioner also shed light on the glorious history of Islam, the era of the Rightly Guided Caliphs, the Islamic Golden Age and the contribution of Islamic civilization in various fields including mathematics, medicine, philosophy, optics and geography.

He emphasized on women’s rights in Islam, important aspects of economics, property and marriage and family law, political and social responsibilities, misinterpretation and anti-fundamentalist views and unity and social solidarity of the Muslim Ummah. Senior RMP officials and trained imams were present at the event.
