A person was arrested with Yaba in a drive by the District Detective Branch (DB) in Moulvibazar.

On Wednesday (November 5), a DB team led by District Detective Branch (DB) SI (Unarmed) Md. Abu Naiyum Mia conducted a drive and arrested a person named Juned Mia (36) from the Mozafarbad area of ​​Monumukh Union in Sadar Upazila of the district.

During this, DB members recovered 121 pieces of Yaba from the custody of the arrested Juned.

District Detective Branch Officer-in-Charge Sudipto Shekhar Bhattacharya said that during the initial interrogation, the arrested Juned told that he had kept the Yaba for the purpose of selling drugs.

He has been involved in the drug trade for a long time.

He also said that the District Detective Branch is working on a zero tolerance policy against drugs as per the instructions of the District Superintendent of Police.

After filing a case against the arrested person under the Narcotics Control Act, he was sent to the Moulvibazar District Court.
