BNP’s potential candidates in Gopalganj have been nominated
Ahead of the upcoming 13th National Parliament elections, the party’s Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir released the list of potential candidates for 237 seats out of 300 seats at a press conference at the office of the Nationalist Party (BNP) Chairperson in Gulshan, the capital, on Monday (November 3) afternoon.
According to the list, BNP candidates have been announced for all 3 seats in Sheikh Hasina’s home district of Gopalganj.
The party’s joint organizing secretary Md. Selimuzzaman Molla will contest in Gopalganj-1 (part of Muksudpur and Kashiani), and DAB leader Dr. KM Babar Ali and S.M. Jilani, president of the Swechhasebak Dal, have been nominated for the Gopalganj-3 (Tungipara and Kotalipara) constituency.
BNP standing committee members, organizing secretaries and co-organizing secretaries, along with other leaders and media workers working in various electronic and print media were present at the press conference.
At the press conference, BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said that in certain cases, potential candidates may be suspended or changed as per the decision of the Election Nomination Board.
It is worth noting that the list of names of BNP potential candidates for 237 seats out of a total of 300 parliamentary seats in the upcoming 13th National Parliament election has been announced monday.
The names of potential candidates for the remaining seats will also be announced soon, said the party’s Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir.
