Lutfur Rahman Kajal gets nomination for Cox’s Bazar-3 constituency

The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has released the list of candidates for 237 seats across the country in the 13th National Parliament election.
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir announced the list at the party office in Gulshan on Sunday (November 3).
Former MP and central BNP Fishermen Affairs Secretary Lutfur Rahman Kajal has got the BNP ticket for Cox’s Bazar-3 (Sadar-Ramu-Eidgaon) constituency. Lutfur Rahman Kajal entered politics in 1980 through Chhatra Dal politics.
He served as the joint convener of the Cox’s Bazar District Chhatra Dal of the Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal from 1983 to 1986, and as the convener of the District Chhatra Dal in 1986-87.
From 1987 to 1991, Lutfur Rahman Kajal was the joint convener of the District Jubo Dal, from 1991 to 1996, the general secretary of the District Jubo Dal, from 1997 to 2003, the president of the District Jubo Dal and at the same time the executive member of the Central Jubo Dal, in 2003, the organizing secretary of the Cox’s Bazar District BNP, in 2004, the joint general secretary of the Central Jubo Dal, in 2008, a member of the BNP Central Executive Committee, and in 2016, the fisheries affairs secretary of the BNP Central Executive Committee, and is serving his duties successfully to this day.
He has also served the duties of various subcommittees under the BNP Central Committee – smoothly.
In the 9th National Parliament election in 2008, despite receiving the nomination of the 20-party alliance in the Cox’s Bazar-3 constituency and electing a rebel candidate from the party in the same constituency, Lutfur Rahman Kajal was elected as an MP by a huge margin, defeating the Grand Alliance candidate.
After the announcement of the list, there was excitement among the BNP leaders and activists of Cox’s Bazar.
He sought everyone’s cooperation in maintaining discipline by not distributing sweets, processions, meetings, showdowns after the announcement of candidacy as per the party instructions.
Party instructions have already been sent to the district BNP office to strengthen the hands of the nationalist forces and to work together in the field to create a mass movement in favor of the candidate of the paddy sheaf.
He called on all leaders and activists to be patient and work together in favor of the declared candidate in the national assembly elections.
In Cox’s Bazar-3 (Sadar-Ramu-Eidgaon) constituency, Lutfur Rahman Kajal, former Parliamentary Central Committee Fishermen Affairs Secretary of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party BNP, will contest against Jamaat-Islami candidate Shahidul Alam Bahadur, former VP of Cox’s Bazar Government College.
