The Bangladesh Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education, Dhaka, Additional Director General Professor BM Abdul Hannan has finally ordered the removal of the controversial head teacher of Ullapara Momen Ali Science School, Md. Abdul Majid, from his post.
A letter from his office containing the relevant instructions has already reached the office of the school management committee president.
This issue has become the talk of the town in Ullapara municipality and among the conscious community.
In a letter received on Monday, the Director General of the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education’s Office Memorandum No. 37.02.0000. 107.31.134.2020/1891 Date: 29/10/2025 signed in this regard, a letter is circulating on social media directing the removal of Abdul Majeed, the headmaster of Ullapara Momena Ali Science School, from his duties as allegations of irregular recruitment, embezzlement, admission trading, recruitment trading, women’s scam and arbitrariness have been proven in the investigation.
The letter further states that no non-MPO teacher can perform the duties of a head teacher in an MPO-affiliated educational institution as per Manpower Structure-21.
In this situation, the School management committee president has been instructed to immediately remove Head Teacher Abdul Majid and assign the responsibility to the senior most teacher or assistant teacher.
In this regard when contacted on the phone, Abdul Majid, head teacher of Momen Ali Science School, said that the letter from the department has not yet reached him.
Md. Ataur Rahman, president of the school management committee and upazila senior fisheries officer, said that he has received the letter from the director general.
He said that he will implement the instructions in the letter quickly.
