The closing ceremony and prize distribution of the Debate Competition-2025 was held in Gopalganj on the occasion of Youth Festival.
The Gopalganj District Administration organized the event at the Gopalganj Municipal Auditorium on Thursday (October 30).

Gopalganj Deputy Commissioner and learned District Magistrate (Joint Secretary) Muhammad Kamruzzaman was present as the chief guest in the debate competition organized with the theme “Come and change the country, change the world”.

Gopalganj District Education Officer Kho Ruhul Amin presided over the event while District Police Superintendent Md. Mizanur Rahman, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Education and ICT) Ruli Biswas, District Primary Education Officer Mrs. Jotsna Khatun were present as special guests.

A total of 64 schools participated in the debate competition organized on the occasion of the district-wide Youth Festival-2025, including 32 schools in two groups, A (6th to 8th) and 32 schools in B (9th to 10th).

In A – Group, Yugshikha Girls’ High School won the competition and the runner-up was Government Kotalipara Union Institution, and the third place was Binapani Government Girls’ High School.

In B – Group, District Administration School and College, Gopalganj won the competition and the runner-up was Government Kotalipara Union Institution, and the third place was Yugshikha Girls’ High School.

Raisa Rahman of Yugshikha Girls’ High School was selected as the best debater in A – Group, and Lamia-Tul-Bari was selected as the best debater in B – Group.

Later, Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Kamruzzaman, along with invited guests, presented the crests and certificates to the winners.

Officials from other government and private departments, as well as teachers, students and guardians of various educational institutions were present at the time.
