Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Rajshahi Metropolitan has organized a protest rally to protest the Paltan murders on October 28 and demand justice for the murderers.
The protest rally was held at 4:00 pm on Tuesday at Ganak Para intersection in Rajshahi city as part of the central program. After the rally, information pictures and documentaries about the Paltan murders on October 28 were shown. Speakers at the rally said that October 28, 2006 was one of the most shameful days in the political history of Bangladesh.
On that day, the 14-party alliance led by the Awami League launched a vicious attack on the leaders and activists of Jamaat-e-Islami and Chhatra Shibir in the Baitul Mukarram area of ​​the capital and hacked and killed six leaders and activists with logs and sticks.
The speakers said that on that day, Awami League thugs hacked and hacked to death Hossain Muhammad Mujahidul Islam, a third-year BBA Honors student at Stamford University, with a log in the alley of Paltan Mosque. Hafez Golam Kibria Shipon, a second-year Honors student of the Physics Department of Dhaka College, was martyred in the Awami League riot. Shaheed Abdullah Al Faisal, a first-year Honors student of Jagannath University. Another companion was Shaheed Md. Rafiqul Islam. Shaheed Saifullah Mohammad Masum, a first-year English Department student of Titumir College, joined the procession of bodies that day after being a victim of the log in the alley. All these brutal murders will be judged on Bengali soil, God willing. The speakers also said that the demonic nature of October 28 has hurt the world’s conscience. It has shaken all conscientious people. It is rare to see people being beaten to death like snakes in broad daylight to disrupt a political rally. Which still makes thousands of people cry.
