The tourist police have arrested a TikToker named Rezaul Karim (27) on charges of secretly recording a video of a female tourist bathing at Cox’s Bazar sea beach.

A team of tourist police arrested him from the Laboni Point area of ​​Cox’s Bazar beach on Monday (October 28) morning.

The arrested Rezaul Karim is the son of Abu Taher of Piomkhali area of ​​Cox’s Bazar Sadar Upazila.

Additional DIG of Cox’s Bazar Tourist Police Apel Mahmud said, “We are on the highest alert to protect the safety and personal privacy of domestic and foreign tourists visiting Cox’s Bazar.

Strict legal action will be taken against anyone who engages in immoral activities such as harassing tourists or secretly recording videos.”

He also said that a case is under process against the accused Rezaul Karim under the Pornography Control Act and the Information and Communication Technology Act.

Tourist police said patrols and surveillance have been intensified in beach areas to prevent the creation and dissemination of immoral content on social media.
