As part of the nationwide central program, Jamaat-e-Islami protest procession and rally were held in Kaliganj, Gazipur.
On Monday (October 27), the protest procession started from the Upazila Parishad square and circled various roads of the city after. Later, a protest procession initiated by the Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Kaliganj Upazila branch, with five-point demands including PR, met in front of the Khodeja Complex adjacent to Kaliganj Sonali Bank. Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Kaliganj Upazila Amir Haji Aftab Uddin presided over the meeting, and Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Central Majlish-e-Shura member Gazipur Metropolitan Jamaat Nayeb-e-Amir, Gazipur-5 constituency MP candidate Md. Khairul Hasan was present as the chief guest. Kaliganj Municipality Jamaat Amir Maulana Md. Amimul Ehsan moderated the meeting, and among others, Upazila Jamaat Shura member Md. Mokhlesur Rahman Khan, Upazila Nayeb Ameer Maulana Md. Badiuzzaman and Maulana Md. Shafiullah, etc. spoke. Upazila, municipality and various union Jamaat leaders were present at the event.
