Bhojeshwar Biswas, a retired school teacher from Dumuria Union in Tungipara Upazila of Gopalganj, has alleged that despite the High Court verdict in his favor, he is still unable to take possession of his ancestral property. He made this allegation at a press conference organized at Tungipara Upazila Press Club on Tuesday (October 21) at 11 am. Bhojeshwar Biswas said that Khas Khatian RS 1/1 Dag No. 521, a total of 6 acres and 57 percent of the land in Bhairabnagar Mouza, is his ancestral property. Kiran Chandra Hira of Lebukhali village and his family members have been trying to seize the land since 1980. The aggrieved teacher claimed that they have filed multiple property cases by changing the dag number 520 to 521 by erasing their documents. At the press conference, Bhojeshwar Biswas said, “Every time the case has been filed in court, I have won.
After the lower court, I went to the judge’s court, but I lost, so I appealed to the High Court. The High Court overturned the lower court’s verdict and ruled in my favor. Still, the opponent is not giving up possession of my land, but is instead coercing me.
He alleged that Kiran Hira, Kishore Hira, Vidyut Hira, Shankar Hira, Binoy Hira, Sameer Hira and Palash Hira often threaten to kill me.
Even when I go to Patgati market, they try to attack me.
I am now completely insecure.” The retired teacher demanded from the administration in this regard, saying, “I only want my legal rights.”
The High Court’s verdict should be implemented so that the possession of my land is quickly explained to me and my life is ensured. At the press conference, Bhojeshwar Biswas urged the local administration and law enforcement agencies to take immediate action and implement the High Court verdict.
