Allegations of cutting paddy fields of physically disabled people in Netrakona

According to a previous incident, 32 paddy fields of 38 percent of the land of the Aman crop of disabled brothers and sisters in Sadar Upazila have been forcibly cut down, against Gani Mia Gang of the neighboring village of Haripur, According to the complaint, the paddy fields of the land of the disabled people of Mahishhati village of Sadar Upazila were cut down at 6 am on Monday.
The three physically disabled son and daughter of the deceased Samar Ali, Md. Tofazzal Islam, Md. Mamun and Mina Akhter, cannot walk.
They are begging in different areas with the help of others to make a living. The Aman rice planted on their only ancestral property was cut down by 1. Saddam Hossain (30), Mansur Mia (32), Abu Hanifa (36), the same father, Gani Mia. Fazlu Mia (55), father deceased Ehed Ali, Akash Mia (28), father Fazlu Mia, Lal Chan Mia (55), father deceased Abdus Sameed, Ashiq Mia (22), Ruman Mia (24), father Lal Chan Mia, all from Haripur, a group of 20 people, together with local weapons, forcibly cut down the paddy field.
They destroyed all the remaining fields and left. The complaint further states that one and a half months ago, they attacked houses and beat up many people, including the elderly and children, seriously injuring them. They are currently being treated in various hospitals. Even though the case is ongoing in the court, the paddy field has been cut down. There is anger among the people of the area regarding this. When contacted by phone about the cutting of the paddy field, Gani Mia said that this land belongs to his wife Amena Khatun and it is her ancestral property, so I have cut the paddy field. In this regard, Netrokona Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge Kazi Shahnewaz said that action will be taken after investigation if a complaint is received.
